Hlubočky lies in the valley of the Bystřice River. The municipality has four local parts.

The branch church of the Sacred Heart of the Lord stands on the village green and was built in 1908–1910. The ruins of Hluboký Castle lie in Hlubočky. A Bishop of Olomouc founded the castle around 1340, and it was destroyed in 1426. The cultural centre has a large hall, a municipal library and an open-air amphitheatre.

Svatý Mořic is based in Olomouc and delivers flowers to Hlubočky.
