Flower delivery in Daskabát from an Olomouc florist
Daskabát lies on the last slopes of the Oderské vrchy hills. Its average elevation is 337 m above sea level. The village stretches along the road from Olomouc to Lipník nad Bečvou.
The abandoned village of Otěhřiby preceded present-day Daskabát and was first mentioned in a charter by Bishop Robert in 1232. The name Daskabát has been recorded since 1581. At the site known as Zámčisko are the remains of the former Sedlec stronghold, incorrectly called “Daskabát”. The village’s landmarks include the Chapel of St John of Nepomuk and a reconciliation cross.
Svatý Mořic is based in Olomouc and delivers flowers to Daskabát from there.
The municipal office is in the village centre beside the nursery and primary school. The municipality-run primary school teaches pupils in Years 1 to 5, and the nursery is also in the village centre. A sports complex in the centre has a playing field and a restaurant. A bouquet can be handed to its recipient at the school, municipal office, sports complex or restaurant, for example.
