Bílsko lies about 15 km north-west of Olomouc and 10 km from Litovel. The Cholinka stream flows through the village. The first mention of the village dates from 1349.

The Church of the Divine Heart of the Lord was consecrated in 1903 and is connected to the former Redemptorist monastery by its sacristy. Local cultural monuments include a wayside shrine from the early 19th century and the reconciliation cross standing beside it, dating from the 15th to 16th centuries.
