A Local Florist Delivers Flowers to Hraničné Petrovice

The municipality of Hraničné Petrovice lies at the foot of the Nízký Jeseník range, 587 m above sea level. It is about 7.5 km east of Šternberk. Nearby, the highest-elevation third-class road in the Olomouc District runs at an altitude of 638 m.

Hraničné Petrovice was formed around 1798 by the union of the villages of Hraničná and Petrovice, whose history, according to Latin charters, dates back to 1364. The Church of Saints Peter and Paul was built from 1768 to 1774. Lightning destroyed its tower in 1911, and it was rebuilt in 1911–1912. At the old road stands a Pietà sculpture from 1870, commissioned by the local Heger family.
